Synergie, le mot est peut-être galvaudé, mais il est des cas où à l'évidence, ce n'est pas un vain mot. La FIB, le Cerib et Cimbeton travaillent ainsi de concert (voir p. 40 à 48) pour le béton, qui rythme notre quotidien et dessine l'habitat de demain (voir p. 10). Matériau associé, la plaque de plâtre se met aussi à notre service pour nous aider à moduler notre espace de vie en appliquant le plus possible les principes de la construction HQE sur des chantiers visant la performance énergétique (RT 2005) et en produisant moins de déchets (voir p. 38).
Si le béton protéiforme se laisse couler dans des formes organiques et des textures, comme la récente tour Hypergreen à double peau de Jean Ferrier, le ciment n'est pas en reste côté innovation et performances. Après avoir engrangé l'expérience des chantiers réalisés avec le TX Millenium®, Calcia vient de lancer une gamme de ciments destinée à réduire les salissures d’origine biologique et la pollution atmosphérique. Il faudra certainement en vendre des quantités gigantesques pour transformer le visage et l'air de nos cités, mais l'effort mérite d'être souligné (voir p. 23) tout comme celui que mène la cimenterie de Beaucaire pour réduire les envols de poussières de sa station de ballage charbon (voir p. 14).
Synergy may be an overworked word but there are some cases where it undoubtedly has a true meaning. The FIB, the Cerib and Cimbeton are working together (voir p. 40 à 48) for the promotion of concrete, which is part of our daily lives and of tomorrow's housing design (see p. 10). As an associated material, the gypsum plasterboard is also at our service to help us arrange our living space while applying HEQ principles as much as possible on building yards aiming at energy performance (RT 2005) and producing less waste (see p. 38).
If concrete can be cast in a multitude of possible organic forms and textures, as shown by the newly presented Hypergreen tower of Jean Ferrier with its double skin, cement does not lag behind as far as innovation and performances are concerned. After gaining experience with the building sites erected with TX Millenium®, Calcia has launched a range of cements for reducing biological soiling of biological origin and atmospheric pollution. Gigantic quantities will certainly have to be sold to transform the aspect and air quality of our cities, but the effort deserves to be underlined (see p. 23) as does the Beaucaire cement plant deserve to be praised for its efforts to abate dust generation at its coal unloading station (see p. 14).
